The Unfocus Group
The Unfocus Group is a countercultural movement with the aim of challenging established norms, and encouraging collective positive action in order to progress the human race. It was created by Brendan Fernandes in 2009. Hopefully, together we can do something original and useful for society, instead of reading from the same script as everyone else.
To this end, it's a forum for positive, dissenting ideas. Unlike a focus group, whose idea is to discover social attitudes and to try to form a consensus, the unfocus group has the aim of changing those social attitudes and to help people to think for themselves. Specifically, my aim is to promote free thinking above systems, rules, committees and groupthink.
Please contribute to this website. Do not be put off by its anarchic nature. The idea is to challenge mainstream thought.
Many of the articles are stubs. This is not a problem. Half an idea is better than no idea.
Once people "get" what this site is about, then we can move some of the pages about, including this one.
Have fun!
Brendan
Update 9 November 2009: Some thick idiots have vandalised some of my pages. Sorry about this, and I'm working to revert the changes.
