Brights
From Unfocusgroup.org
The Brights movement was created in 2003, and is highly popularised by academics such as Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett and Steven Pinker. You can read all about it here.
Critique of the Brights Movement
Aside from the obvious arrogance of the movement through the implication that non-believers are "not bright", the Brights movement suffers from the fact that it is itself a High Priesthood. Those in the scientific world need to understand that scientific thought is just as prone to faith and dogma as any other field of study.
Defence of the Brights Movement
I really don't think that there is any defence of the Brights movement: it is completely ridiculous. But if anybody has any ideas, please post it here.
